Crimthann86 indoctrinates his children in his beliefs and politics.. So the boy comes home from school the other day and says he thinks the Alamo was basically just American glory stuff that covered up the basically racist romantic hogwash that was manifest destiny circa early 19th century United States. Well this sent my romantic, nationalistic, American exceptionalist back bone in a bit of a tizzy. Not really but I did sit the boy down and said "Now wait there just a minute boy; those guys were patriots." "They didn't fight and die for manifest destiny and the greatness of the North Western European immigrant gringo race." "They died for Liberty and it was a fight against tyranny. It was Mexico that changed the rules and they died to make Texas a free republic." Don't they show those old Disney movies with Fess Parker as Davy Crockett in school any more? I am being a bit facetious but I did make him this video after I found and edited in the Duke from another youtube vid and I made him watch it. If you're a video critic yea it's child abuse but this is America and I should be free to indoctrinate my children any way I want and it's only a little over 2minutes long. |
